Record Group Term
Collections of still photographic types, including paper prints, cased photographs, glass plates, and slides. Historically, when processing a collection, FHL staff have often removed the photographs from the manuscript portion (e.g. RG4 organizational records or RG5 family or personal papers) and stored them as an associated PA photographs collection. FHL staff have also assembled alphabetical files by topic, such as the Meetinghouse Picture File.

Wayne B. Hadley (1926-2001) was a family historian whose particular interest was in Quaker history and genealogy. This collection contains family photographs, both in photo albums and loose, and slides of various meeting houses and residences.

Overview In the 1980s, May Virginia Bassett Little (1913-1994) created a series of family scrapbooks accompanied by short memoirs and excerpts from her diaries. Her father was a birthright Quaker, and the family had deep roots in Swarthmore College and the Borough of Swarthmore. Her husband, Ralph V. Little, Jr., (1909-2001), also was raised in Swarthmore.
