Record Group Term
Collections of still photographic types, including paper prints, cased photographs, glass plates, and slides. Historically, when processing a collection, FHL staff have often removed the photographs from the manuscript portion (e.g. RG4 organizational records or RG5 family or personal papers) and stored them as an associated PA photographs collection. FHL staff have also assembled alphabetical files by topic, such as the Meetinghouse Picture File.

Overview The Friends World Committee for Consultation was created by the 2nd World Conference of Friends in 1937 to promote Quaker unity and fellowship. Friends from 75 nations participate today. This collection contains the mounted photographs compiled by Delbert and Ruth Replogle for display at the 1967 Fourth Friends World Conference. The exhibit was intended to illustrate the “Quaker story,” and included the broad range of Quaker activities, institutions, and people. Photographs were solicited in...
