Collections of still photographic types, including paper prints, cased photographs, glass plates, and slides. Historically, when processing a collection, FHL staff have often removed the photographs from the manuscript portion (e.g. RG4 organizational records or RG5 family or personal papers) and stored them as an associated PA photographs collection. FHL staff have also assembled alphabetical files by topic, such as the Meetinghouse Picture File.

Overview The Cooper family were Quakers of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, attending meetings in the Woodbury and Byberry areas. Materials in this collection focus on the children of William E. and Elizabeth Roberts Cooper, their spouses and children. William Evans Cooper (1812-1856) married Elizabeth Matlack Roberts (1815-1902) at Woodbury Monthly Meeting in Gloucester County, N.J., in 1836. This collection consists of Friends' meeting house photographs taken circa 1905 by Watson Wood Dewees. The meeting houses depicted are located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Southeastern Ohio, Maryland and Delaware.
