The collection relates primarily to William Huntington, (1907-1990), a 20th century Quaker peace activist and the ship The Golden Rule which Huntington and others used to protest atomic testing in the South Pacific. This typescript by Lois V. Stanton entitled "Tales of a Haverford R and R Girl" describes the author's experiences training to perform relief work at Haverford following World War II and travelling to Europe with the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) between 1945 and 1947.
