Scope and Contents

This collection is comprised of materials related to special events and occasions in Haverford College's history, including commencements, anniversaries, memorial dedications, and inaugurations. Commencement records consist primarily of programs from Haverford College commencement exercises from the early twentieth century to the present day, but also include commencement invitations, addresses, and other materials. Anniversary records consist of materials that mark the semi-centennial, 75th anniversary, centennial, 125th anniversary, and sesquicentennial celebrations of Haverford's founding in 1833. This collection also includes a smaller number of records related to Haverford College presidential inaugurations, memorials, and other events on campus.
